FAQs

  • I sure do! The following are the insurances I currently take:

    • Aetna

    • Anthem

    • Centivo

    • Chorus

    • Medicaid

    • UMR

    • United Healthcare

  • I charge copays, coinsurance or deductibles at the time of service. Should we work together, I run a complimentary benefits check so you will know what is charged directly following service. However, since insurance changes frequently it is always the client’s responsibility to know their benefits. Since this process can be confusing to the best of us, I am happy to work with you to make sure the information we are receiving is accurate to the best of our knowledge.

  • While I would love to be within all insurance panels, this is just not always possible. Upon request, I do provide Superbills for clients using their out of network benefits. It is always worth checking with your insurance provider to see what your out of network benefits cover as you might be suprised at what you discover. Out of Network fees are below:

    Individual Therapy 60 Minutes: $130.00

    Dyadic Therapy 60 Minutes: $150.00

    Sliding fee scale also available

  • This depends on each person’s individual goals. Although, I come from a perspective that therapy is intended to have a beginning, a middle and an end. I want to empower clients to trust themselves and their natural capacity to heal. I have an extensive background in Solutions Focused treatment and have found that people generally see improvements within 3-6 months, with one year often being a comfortable time for clients to discharge. I will check in with you regularly to review treatment goals and should we deem you ready, I will actively work to support a comfortable transition to discharge.

  • Great question! I start my work with clients by obtaining a thorough understanding of your past and present experiences. This can often take more than one session, but I’m always sensitive to your needs so if you prefer to use your session to address a pressing issue I will always make time for that. Sessions are 53 minutes, which allows me time to transition between appointments. However, it is my responsibility to be the keeper of time and it’s your responsibility to simply be with yourself.

  • This will vary based on your needs and my availability, but typically we find meeting weekly to start can help build rapport and gather necessary background information in the beginning. After generally a month or so of weekly consistency, I have found most clients are comfortable meeting biweekly. Due to the population of clients I specialize in, I only offer weekly or biweekly sessions, with one, perhaps two monthly sessions while we transition to discharge. It should be noted that if we work together, you will always be able to return to me following discharge, even if it’s for a single session to address a current concern.
